iPhone X: The Future Of The Smartphone

The iPhone X is the ten-year leap ahead that Apple’s phones needed, and it’s even better in 2021 thanks to iOS 14 and the constant addition of new features. Apart from the original iPhone in 2007, the iPhone X had the most massive impact on Apple’s smartphone approach – and its successors haven’t changed many of its design innovations.

It’s been dubbed the “future of the smartphone” by Apple, and it’s the culmination of a decade of work. While the iPhone X is all about luxury components and a whole new experience, it was also a significant risk for the Cupertino company – one that paid off. Since then, every new iPhone has maintained the design right up to the iPhone 12 Pro.

iPhone X: Price in Tunisia

The iPhone X was released as the most expensive flagship phone on the market, and it’s still costly now – but iPhone users are more likely than others to look past the price.

The iPhone X cost 3000 DT for the basic 64GB device at launch. The larger 256GB model would set you back 3300 DT.

Of course, the iPhone XS has been released since then, and Apple has discontinued selling the iPhone X. You can still get it elsewhere. You can visit our iPhone X deals page to find the best offer.

iPhone X: Design

The iPhone X’s main feature was that it featured a completely new design. The iPhone X has a glass front and back and is available in two colors: Space Grey and Silver. It also has a polished stainless steel frame around the edge that shimmers and catches the light like the stainless steel Apple Watch.

A 5.8-inch screen offers more screen real estate than the iPhone 8 Plus, but the frame is much smaller. Those who have always thought the Plus was excessively huge will be pleased with the design modifications, as the top and bottom bezels have been removed, resulting in a much more proportioned phone than previous iPhone Plus models.

The iPhone X’s edge-to-edge display looked spectacular at its release, with the “notch” being the only element that detracted from the overall design.

Getting rid of the home button took away some of the iPhone’s iconic visual design, which has been around for a long time. However, Apple has ensured that those who like a home button have a choice with the iPhone 8 and the 2020 iPhone SE.

Face ID unlocks your iPhone quickly and eliminates the problem of opening your phone when wearing gloves or with wet hands like the Touch ID sensor does.

iPhone X: Display

The 5.8-inch diagonal Super Retina display has a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels and a pixel density of 458ppi.

A transition to a 19.5:9 aspect ratio is one of the major changes.

There is also a noticeable improvement in resolution. The 458ppi is a significant improvement over the 401ppi on the iPhone 8 Plus. It means that more detail is jammed into the screen to make things sharper and more appealing.

That means clearer text and graphics, smoother curves, and more opportunities for the iPhone X to show off its other key technological advancement: the OLED panel. It isn’t the best resolution on a smartphone, but it is still of excellent quality.

That so-called notch, on the other hand, is barely noticeable. It almost completely disappears in everyday use when surrounded by black in apps or dark mode. This is due to OLED’s ability to turn off the light in specific panel sections entirely. Yes, there is a notch on one side when watching a full-screen movie, but it doesn’t matter once you’re using the phone.

Like many other Apple devices, the display uses Apple’s True Tone technology, which adapts to the environment. The notion is that the display’s color balance changes when the ambient light changes. It takes some getting used to if you’ve never seen the technology before, especially since you can see it changing and shifting in real-time as you move the phone around.

iPhone X: Face ID

Face ID is the new technique of unlocking the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, and Apple has spent a lot of time perfecting it.

It takes around 30 seconds to set it up, and once it’s done, you’ll have to look at the sensor array at the top of the smartphone (in the notch) to unlock it. You’ll also require a PIN as a backup.

Face recognition is lightning fast, to the point where you don’t have to wait long for anything to happen. Most Touch ID apps, including Apple Pay and third-party apps, immediately operate with Face ID, and Safari’s auto password fill feature doesn’t autofill unless you look at the screen.

iPhone X: Camera

The iPhone X boasts two 12-megapixel cameras on the back, with a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens, in a similar layout to the iPhone 8 Plus. The main difference between the iPhone X (and XS, for that matter) and the iPhone Plus is that the former has optical image stabilization on both cameras, while the latter only has it on the wide-angle lens.

These cameras have apertures of f/1.8 and f/2.4, which are higher than the iPhone 8 Plus, implying that more light can enter the camera, resulting in higher-quality photographs in low-light situations.

The two back cameras provide stunning shots in various situations, and the front-facing camera is as impressive. Even though it just has a 7-megapixel sensor, Portrait selfies can be taken using the same AI depth effect techniques as the rear-facing cameras.

For the iPhone X, Apple added a feature called Portrait Lighting. It seeks to replicate the effect of a professional lighting rig in a studio, allowing you to snap some very unique photographs with no effort. It works with both the front and rear cameras, creating a depth map and ensuring that the (virtual) lighting falls where it should.

iPhone X: Performance

The A11 Bionic Chipset, which has six cores, two high-power cores, and four efficiency cores, powers the iPhone X, which has the same internal specs as the iPhone 8 models. Compared to prior iPhones, there is more power and efficiency and a significant improvement in graphics.

As is always said, how long a battery lasts is determined by how you use it. You can easily use the battery for a full day and still have enough power to get home in the morning. That’s a full day’s worth of battery life.

Apple added rapid and wireless charging to the iPhone X to help you stay charged throughout the day.

iPhone X: Conclusion

Apple predicted that this phone would welcome the iPhone’s next decade, and they were correct. Except for the 2020 iPhone SE, all new iPhones are designed after the iPhone X.

The iPhone X continues to dazzle – the screen is gorgeous, the device is smaller for that edge-to-edge approach, and the underlying technology is more than capable of supporting it.
